STATION 31 CONSTRUCTION UPDATES

In the Fall of 2019, Lebanon voters passed a $16.1 million general obligation bond to support the construction of a new fire station, Station 31, and the purchase of firefighting apparatus.

In 2020, the project moved into the design phase with architectural firm Rice Fergus Miller of Washington state. With COVID-19 causing global supply chain disruptions and high costs of material goods, the project was delayed until it was fiscally manageable to continue again.

By the end of 2021, prices were starting to stabilize but not come down, so the Lebanon Fire District hired Emerick Construction as a Contract Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) to keep the overall costs as low as possible.

The original Station 31, which was completed in 1975, was torn down in October of 2022 as construction on the new Station 31 finally began in earnest.

Spring of 2023 brought several updates in rapid succession, from groundbreaking in February, to foundation being poured in March, to framing beginning in April. Construction will continue as planned throughout the rest of the year, with our anticipated move-in date to be February of 2024.
