Public Education
The Fire & Life Safety Division offers a wide range of public education topics for all ages. Our trained instructors host groups of all sizes at our main fire station and can even come to you to provide content under certain circumstances.
Fire Prevention Week
One of our largest and most comprehensive public education campaigns takes place each October during the annual Fire Prevention Week established by the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA). Each year during Fire Prevention Week our Deputy Fire Marshal and fire district members visit every 3rd grade classroom in the Lebanon Community School District, including East Linn Christian Academy, Sand Ridge Charter School, and the home school consortium to provide hands-on fire safety tips and education. Each student receives a goody bag containing fire prevention materials and some fun goodies to take home.
